Rule #2 Prosperity is a Spiritual Experience…

January 10, 2012 by · 2 Comments

Rule #2 – The “work” we must do to experience prosperity is spiritual work, not physical work.

The game of life is not really played out on the physical plane; it is played out completely on the level of thought, of consciousness.

Though it appears that we are all collectively having a physical experience on the Earth in the 21st century, the ‘reality’ is that we are not!

Really? How can that be?…

Actually, in my paradigm, we are all creating a unique energy field around us that our senses interpret a certain way, and we come to agreements with others about things our interpretations have in common. When enough people have similar interpretations, we call this “objective reality, but that doesn’t make it so. There are over 7 billion unique universes being experienced by humanity, and counting – one for each man, woman, infant, and child.

The world you see around you is all ‘mind stuff’ and you created your unique reality  not by accident.  And you will not leave by accident.

The tools you use to navigate your existence are all tools of thought and consciousness.  That is why changing your ‘reality’ is spiritual work, not physical work.

When we fail to recognize this fact, we end up frastrated with the reality that we have created. This is not to say that recognition of this fact guarantees success in life.  A person can understand that they choreograph the major events of their life through their dominant intentions, yet fail to properly apply this understanding and have a miserable life experience because they react to circumstances instead of create their circumstances.

In other words, despite appearances, your current problem at their root are not about your bank account, your business, your home, you marriage, your health, etc. and if you attempt to address your issues on this level, without first addressing it at the hidden, non-physical levels of consciousness or thought, then you will not get very far.  And your results will be severely limited.

There is a much, much bigger picture than what we tend to ruminate about on a daily basis.

You actually are a unique individuation of consciousness, and your “work” to get through your current crisis must be done on the plane of thought, emotion, and consciousness.

Yes, your body will go through the motions of making phone calls, writing letters, and trying to manipulate the facts of the situation so that you best navigate the logistics of whatever situation that you are in.  But do not fall into the trap of thinking that you will get results merely by working on this ‘plane of action’ and on this level alone.

Your real work must be done by changing your beliefs about yourself and the universe that you live in.  You must examine your beliefs about what you are capable of, your beliefs about your connection to a Divine Source, and your beliefs about what truly governs the events that play out in the physical world.

Through spiritual understanding and changing thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs, circumstances that were previously viewed as problems are seen in a new light, and become “non-problems” because we choose to feel differently about them.

As Einstein pointed out, you cannot solve your current problems by being and acting as the same person you were when you created them.  You must “evolve” your thinking to see real and permanent changes in your physical world.

I encourage you to recognize that real change is a result of changing your energy, your attitudes, your expectations, and your intentions.

We can summarize rule # 2 by saying that behind every physical expression is a spiritual idea, and the spiritual idea has reality and this reality is where our attention and focus must be if we want to really control what appears in our physical experience.

Your experiences with money, whether of poverty or prosperity, are rooted in ideas and concepts that you held in either your conscious or subconscious thought for many years before they have now come into your experience in the physical world.

Take the time to examine your beliefs about many things surrounding abundance, the flow of source energy in the Universe, and your relationship with that Source Energy.  But it is work worth doing, because once you have empowering, positive, prosperous beliefs and habits of thought that are unshakable, your prosperity will be unshakable as well.

The ‘facts’ will change themselves once the real work is done on the plane of consciousness.

What is your experience with this?  What do you think? I would love to hear back, so post a comment!

Life Rule #1…

January 4, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Rule #1 – Life is a big game, so don’t take it too seriously.

It’s helpful to think of life as a game, so don’t take it too seriously. Right now, if you are having problems, it may feel like anything but a lighthearted game.  It probably feels very serious indeed, but because we are first and foremost spiritual beings that have an unbreakable connection to God, or Source Energy, then the trials and challenges we face are really just a game that we are playing with ourselves.

We can’t ever really “lose” in this arrangement.  So, it must be a wonderful game!

We are all choosing roles in a big divine play, like actors on a stage, and most of us play our chosen roles very well indeed.  But make no mistake, we create the play, we enjoy the drama, we are the audience, and we are the ones who set the agenda.  So a game of life is what it really is – a play.  And the game is meant to be fun.

If you aren’t having fun right now, then perhaps you have lost sight of the fact that you are in a role playing game that you can’t lose. You. Can’t. Lose. So lighten up! Play more!

Remember this basic premise, and your stress level will drop immediately.  After all, if it just a big game, then the outcome is not serious, not important.  We are the ones who place such an emphasis on results, on outcomes, and the fear of not having the perfect outcome places considerable stress on us.  We are here for a joyful experience, and really nothing else is important.  But how many of us place joy as our number one priority?

Exactly. Time to switch things around.  :)

When good situations go bad, how should we handle it?

December 16, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

What do you do when things seem to manifest perfectly, but then that manifestation or creation ‘goes south’ all of a sudden.  What happened?  Did you mis-create? How should we handle it so that things turn out for the best?

Here’s a good example from my life, which is why it’s on my mind, this is happening right now for me: I found a great little apartment to help me transition from Hawaii to San Diego. In fact, the apartment found me.

I was in the airport waiting to fly out of Honolulu, on my way to San Diego, to where I was re-relocating after living for 18 months on the Big Island.  An older gentleman asked if he could share the table where I sat eating. We struck up a conversation and it turned out he had a vacant apartment in Pacific Beach, just feet from the ocean, which is exactly what I wanted!  It wasn’t a 2 bedroom, but it was clean, convenient, in the heart of town, and it had a good vibe. A few days later, I was moved into the apartment. I never even had to do an apartment search since it found me.  Pretty cool huh?   It’s a great little manifestation story that shows how easily things can fall into place for us when we are in alignment, and going with the flow. Love it when that happens…

But it just ‘went south’. Or did it? Four months later I returned from a little trip to Maui, and lo and behold there was a construction project underway in my back yard. Apparently my landlord had applied or building permits 2 years before. The permits were finally approved while I was back in Hawaii for a week, so while I was out of town his contractor started construction of a large addition onto the adjoining building just a few feet outside my back door. I had no notice whatsoever. Now it’s dusty, noisy, with construction workers and equipment everywhere. Interruptions to gas and electric, etc. Oh, and I found out the furnace doesn’t work. (Yes, we sometimes need heaters in Southern California). I feel the urgent need to move, and I gave him my 30 day notice.

So did I mis-manifest? Was my creation flawed? Did I do something wrong to cause this situation?  All good questions, and you can probably remember similar situations in your own life where something seemed so perfect at first, but then turned out to be less than perfect. It happens in relationships all the time, right?

So how do we handle these situations?

Well here’s how I look at it. First, no, I did not ‘mis-manifest’ – the solution in this case, the apartment, was in fact perfect for a short period. It served its purpose of being shelter during a transition period. I am now successfully transitioned from Hawaii back to the mainland, and I have since identified further wants and needs.

In fact, the shortcomings of my current apartment actually helped me get clarity about what would be even better.  Specifically, I value more space, and decided that was an important priority.  I also really value having a hottub / jacuzzi, and decided my next apartment or house will have one of those.  And I want a bit more privacy, and a nicer kitchen.  But details aside, what is important to recognize is that life is all about change.  And what serves as a perfect solution one day can very well be the ‘platform’ that gives rise to new, bigger better desires and preferences, so we in effect outgrow the old solution, and then need to align with the new solution to the new set of desires, or problems.

But if we get hung up on the idea that something good has turned ‘bad’, then we are shutting ourselves off from the energy that creates the ideal solutions to our new ‘problems’. We have to relax, and trust that the Universe knows exactly what it is doing, and is conspiring to create a wonderful life for us, if we can just get out of our own way.  In short, don’t sabotage positive change by dwelling on the fact that things changed.  Roll with it, assume that all will be well, and relax. Look forward to a better future, and have positive expectation that it will come about. And it will come about. Don’t look for errors in thinking, or try to pinpoint mistakes that were made, by any party. Just get clear about what you now want as a result from having had this experience.

I have already found a fantastic next apartment with a massive hottub, very unique landscaping and a huge outdoor party area, with a very nice kitchen, and a second bedroom which I will use as my office.

I REALLY want this next apartment, but if I don’t get it, of course I will be momentarily disappointed. That’s only normal. But I have faith that there is another one, and even better one, waiting right around the corner for me. It’s all about relaxing, trusting, and not over-analyzing the situation. Can you do that?  Sure you can!  :-)   it doesn’t matter if its a job, money, a car, or a lover, there is always something better right around the corner, but you have to cooperate by having a positive expectation that it will come to you in the perfect time. A positive expectation and a positive attitude will help accelerate the solution finding you.

I hope this little story helps you if you are wrestling with something similar. Can you relate? Has this happened to you?  Tell me about it by leaving a comment. What did you do about it?  Did it all work out? I want to hear from you!
