How to Handle a Major Financial Challenge
March 2, 2012 by Ryan Harris
So you’re facing a major financial challenge, something akin to a crisis? Have you lost your job, or are facing foreclosure, or a divorce? Maybe all three? Then we have something in common. I am getting close to finishing a book called “Conquering a Personal Financial Crisis” that shares how to use Universal Laws, primarily the Law of Attraction, to overcome or transcend a Personal Financial Crisis. So how should you handle it? What should you do?
My severe financial crisis took over two years to recover from, but in hindsight I realize I could have recovered much faster. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the lack of money that made the crisis so difficult. It was the fear eating away at me, this hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach that stressed me out and caused me to lose sleep. The fear was the worst part of it all, not knowing what would come next, sometimes it even bordered on panic. If I had to make a choice between getting cash to solve the problem temporarily, but having to live with lots of fear about my finances, or choosing getting rid of the fear but having no cashflow to solve the problem, I would have opted for getting rid of the fear. How about you? Are you really scared about what your future holds? If so, this book is for you.
Back to the question: what to do? Well, actually, the most important question isn’t “what to do?”, but it’s more about “how can I adjust my thinking so I can view the situation as holding the potential for major long-term benefits?” Basically you have to reframe the crisis from one of “oh shit, my financial sky is falling!” to one of “major changes are happening in my life, why is this happening and how might it be for my own good?”
That may seem like a stretch, but hear me out. Are you willing to come at the problem from a whole new angle? If you are, you’ll probably get out of your jam much faster.
Forget about specific actions to take, it’s time to go within and make an internal energy shift, a mental shift. Taking action in the past didn’t prevent the financial crisis from coming into your experience, so why would taking action make it go away? The root cause of anyone’s personal financial crisis is because there are some counterproductive beliefs in your belief system, ‘faults’ that keep you from fully aligning with prosperity. Fix these faults by adopting beliefs that serve you better, and your energy around money will change for the better. Not only will you have a new relationship with money and prosperity, but you will be inspired to take the right actions, too.
Taking action too soon, while the underlying issue still exist, will be counterproductive. You’ll be spinning your wheels going nowhere fast.
If you are willing to look at the deeper causes that brought this personal financial crisis into your experience, then you stand a great chance of coming out of it fairly rapidly. If you are willing to focus on spiritual solutions to your financial problems, then you’re halfway to the solution. The reason this is true is because the moment any problem is discovered or created, the solution has already been created too. The solution is the ‘flipside’ of the coin. Problem is on one side, solution is on the other. But paradoxically, the ‘energy’ of the solution” and the ‘energy’ of the problem are completely different. You cannot experience both of them at the same time, just like you can’t tune your radio to two different radio stations at the same time. You can try, but you’ll get a lot of static, and nothing will sound pleasant.
Iif you are focused on the problem, you cannot see the solutions, they are invisible to you. It’s just that simple. Put another way, if you are feeling fear, the solution is unavailable to you. You have to work out why you are feeling fear, and make an internal shift so that fear is replaced with a sense of trust, a sense of anticipation, and a positive expectation of a proper solution. Understanding the Law of Attraction is the best way to do that. The Law of Attraction is always operating in your life, whether you understand it or not, just like gravity. Better to learn about it and work with it, instead of working against it. That’s a fight you just can’t win, and doesn’t it feel like now that you’re in a fight but not getting the upper hand?
So are you willing to step back and look at the bigger picture? Are you willing to take a deeper look at some of the beliefs you hold about money and prosperity? Are you willing to learn about the Law of Attraction and how to apply it to your personal experience? Are you willing to have extend some faith that the Universe has your best interests at heart and is helping you become a better person, and the crisis is merely a wake up call?
